Brandon Elijah Scott is a travel writer, photographer, graphic designer, and film maker with over 20 years of experience. He also specializes in blog coaching, brand design and whiskey drinking. Brandon's travel writing, narrative stories, and photography has been published hundreds of times, in over twenty countries. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio where he once owned a photography studio and a hookah lounge – and where he attended The Ohio State University. Brandon has worked many odd jobs (herbalist, photographer, musician videographer, booking agent, bar manager, inn keeper, valet driver, cameraman) and played many roles throughout his quest of becoming a location independent writer.

A short while ago, after some serious introspective soul searching, I decided to venture into the exciting world of writing and storytelling to compliment my travel photography career. I believe the best media for me to convey my thoughts, feelings and stories is through a blog, due to its naturally-informal ease of use, and to avoid the opinionated filter of an editor with questionable biases. It's important to take note of my philosophy starting out: I refuse to become another soulless guidebook writer, creating products to just simply fill the shelves with meaningless banter about how "quaint little towns in adorable little places-unknown" will change my life forever. My mission is to write thought-provoking pieces and stories relating to life and my travels, accompanied by heartfelt appraisals of the world-renowned and previously undiscovered destinations. Eye & Pen will be just that, both a work of literature and a visual odyssey. A writer, like any other artist should let their true self and persona shine brightly through their work. I know there's a place in this industry for garish true life accounts, bizarre rants and tales of intimate journeys. (Let's be honest, I'm a little exuberantly high on life and I live for good sarcasm.) But that place isn’t why I’m here. Prepare yourselves for a forum of storytelling that is unbiased, unafraid and allows me to bare each intricate layer of my soul to you, one moment at a time. I cherish your readership.
