5 Must-See Cities

We live in a time where the convenience of travel has opened the door to a vast array of worldly experiences. And while all major cities share a few things in common, it is the ways they differ that make each a unique opportunity for a life-changing experience. So here are five world capitals that will have you dreaming of a return visit.
1. Buenos Aires
On the bank of the Rio Plata lies Buenos Aires, whose passion and romance has long been associated with the music and dance of its native Tango. But whether you’re taking in a dance routine on the cobbled squares of San Telmo, strolling the boutique district of Palermo, or walking in the footsteps of the beloved Eva Perón at the Casa Rosada, it is impossible not to be swept away by the Argentinian joie de vivre. For an authentic dining experience make for La Cabrera, a parilla style restaurant whose Ojo de Bife is a must. Afterwards, head to the Buddha Bar for cocktails amongst trendy locals.

2. New York City
New York carries with it an attitude that says, if you can think of it than we have it, and does so for good reason. Boasting iconic tourist attractions such as Times Square, Broadway, and Central Park, there is enough to fill your days and nights in the city that never sleeps. If you’re looking for a break from the buzz of Manhattan, head to Brooklyn, which is host to the great food and trendy drink options. For wine and cocktails, see The Counting Room, and its all-natural drink list. For a fine dining experience, visit Dirty French, where chefs bring bold new flavors to traditional dishes.

3. Tokyo
The capital of Japan is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, but this has created a metropolis filled with hidden gems. While weaving your way through busy streets be sure to find your way to sites like the Imperial Palace, the Tsukiji Fish Market, Hama Rikyu Garden, and Tokyo National Museum. If you’re after a refreshing drink, try the “silver bullet” at Oribe , then head across the street for a show at the Kabukiza Theatre. For an authentic sushi experience, make for Tsugu Sushimasa and order the Chef’s Choice.

4. Dubai
Dubai is a relative newcomer on the world scene, but its meteoric rise to one of the top global destinations has brought with it the grandest luxuries one can imagine. Home to architectural wonders like the Burj Khalifa and Palm Jumeirah, it’s impossible not to be impressed by Dubai's showmanship. At sunset, head to Uptown, the Jumeirah Beach Hotel’s rooftop bar featuring unobstructed views of the city and gulf. For the best breakfast in Dubai to start your day, look no further than La Serre, whose refined Parisian Bistro and Boulangerie mix the grandiosity of Dubai with the quaint feel of Montmartre.

5. London
London has many of the world’s best known historic sites, and it takes no more than a stroll down the Thames to visit the likes of Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Shakespeare’s Globe, and Tower Bridge. Before catching an acclaimed West End show, grab a pre-theatre dinner at the Brasserie Zedel, whose art deco interior and classic dishes are both classic and glamorous. For an after show drink, stop at Da Hems Dutch Café Bar, the go-to place for a proper pint in Central London.

No matter which of these majors’ cities you travel to next, you will be bowled over by their individual personalities and their mouthwatering food. So what are you waiting for?

Yeah, I would have found it hard to narrow it down to five, but this is a good start. I've always wanted to check out Dubai, but have yet to manage it.
