5 Vacation destinations for urbanites

Some people never leave New York City because they love the bustle and fast-pace that comes with urban life. Fortunately for city dwellers, there are places around the world they can travel to see the world without losing the hustle and bustle they enjoy so much.
London
Think of London as a polite New York City, except everyone drives on the opposite side of the road and the pizza isn't as good. While London has many home comforts for urbanites – the easy public transit, the busy streets – there are many sights to see that make London worth the visit. Watch the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace or spend the day marveling at art in the National Gallery.

What's one thing London has an edge over New York City? You guess it… double-decker buses. Hop on one of these to tour the city or just get across town.

Los Angeles
Los Angeles has a different kind of hustle and bustle. From Venice Beach to Rodeo Drive, the city is known for catering to the lifestyles of the good looking and famous. When travelling to Los Angeles, you're going to want to rent a car from a rental service like CarRentals. The city is just too massive to traverse on foot, and it doesn't have the transportation that New York City or London has. Plus, when you rent a car, you can take a day trip to Disneyland!

Tokyo
In a survey of 54,000 travelers, Tokyo was voted the Best Experience for tourists. Plus, any crusty New Yorker will enjoy trying to keep up in the infamous Shibuya Crossing.

From wandering through the Tokyo Fish Market to watching a Sumo match or singing Karaoke, visitors to Tokyo won't have time to sleep. Americans missing home can try Tokyo Disney, for an Asian twist on our favorite characters.

Sao Paulo
This summer is the best time to visit Brazil, with the upcoming World Cup drawing in visitors from all across the globe. Sao Paulo is one of the biggest cities in the world, which will make urbanites comfortable, but it's what you see when you leave the city that's interesting.

The city might be a jungle, but the rainforest is right outside. Visit the city for its art and nightlife, then travel out to see animals like never before for a few hours or a few days. Whether urban or rural, your visit to Sao Paulo will create memories to last a lifetime.

Paris
If you have time after visiting London, take the Chunnel (the tunnel underneath the English Channel) to France and into Paris. Forget the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Champs-Élysées, visit the city for the food and wine. Paris is the food capital of the world, so order up some cheese, crepes, and a glass of champagne to toast to your vacation.

Some people aren't made to leave the city. The idea of camping or lying on an empty beach doesn't appeal to them as much as visiting an urban location. Fortunately, these five cities are a great start.
