I absolutely love traveling on a boat. There is something special about a cruise ship that really gets the blood flowing, and gets my creative juices going in full motion. I have been on many cruises, and was in search for something in Europe, that would provide me with some quality time with my kids.
I was tipped off from a friend that Emerald waterways offered various tours and trips, like quality Danube river cruises. I was instantly intrigued. I am sure you can guess what happened next. Yes, I hopped online and went directly to their website and from there, chose from many different cruise options. I personally, wanted something that was filled with beautiful, original architecture, and allowed me to view places that had much tradition within the port stops.

I chose to cruise eight days from Budapest to Nuremberg. I couldn’t have selected a better cruise. My journey was filled with eight days of historic landmarks, and beautiful scenery. My favorite day had to be day three. We arrived in Bratislava pretty early in the morning. The rest of the day was filled with sightseeing of the city.

The experience of this city is something that you will not get with another cruise. The city is full of street style café’s and has many historical buildings that you can capture on film. The buildings are breath taking, and in the evening you are invited to the captains Gala dinner where you can meet fellow guests.

My living accommodations were way above my expectations for a journey like this. When booking this trip I chose Category RA. This provided me a suite that was located on Danube Deck, and measured in at 315 square feet. There are two of these type of sweets available, so if a suite is something that you are interested in staying in, book early.

Suites are not the only type of accommodations that are available to travelers. There are 14 different stateroom categories on this ship, and they break down into two main categories. Full balcony and Standard Ocean view. The standard ocean view is more economical for travelers that want to cruise and are on a budget however, they are still very beautiful and provide you with amazing views.

Another fun fact about taking an Emerald cruise is that all meals were included in my trip. That’s right! I didn’t have to ponder, and scrounge around a city that I barely got my feet wet in to find something to eat. This really made my traveling a lot smoother, and led to a stress-free experience.

Ultimately, if traveling in style is something that you are after, as well as sights that will leave you breathless. I strongly recommend that you book an Emerald Waterway cruise. I know that you as travelers will not be disappointed. I can personally guarantee that you will be ready to take another cruise offered by this company within a week of returning from your journey. Eight days is simply not long enough to enjoy the accommodations that this cruise has to offer.
