So you wanna be fly? You wanna look good? Travel can be absolutely brutal to a hot pair of kicks and to be honest, rarely would I ever suggest bringing a fashionable pair of shoes on any trip, but there are times when looking good and traveling abroad come together seamlessly.
Does backpacking not sound like your thing? And camping, too? Not for you? Well, if pack space and back pain aren’t concerns of yours, then why not?! I’ve never been a rich man and likely never will be, so I’ve become accustomed to traveling a different way than a lot of folks do these days. Backpacking allowed me the ability to travel, stay and explore cheaply, while seeing as many places as possible. Carrying an extra pair of shoes, just because they’re bad ass simply didn’t make sense for me. But as I grow older, my travel style is changing, and my priorities of what I want to see and experience (and how full I pack my travel schedule) change too.
If you’re someone who travels luxuriously, or in places where nice shoes have a chance of surviving, then why not bring something that will make you look good and feel good? Everyone’s got different opinions and styles, of course. For me, it’s difficult to not look to the flashier styles of footwear for men… I found the Lunar Force 1s by Nike as being my showoff, look fly and nice abroad, shoe.
The Lunar Force 1s that I have are the Flyknit Workboot edition, as they come with this seriously fly knit. No joke, the sides and toe are made of this soft yet thick woven knit, while the rest of the shoe is either made of rubber or suede and leather. Who knew Nike could make something like this, a style of shoe that’s not overly sporty, yet looks dynamite with almost every casual and dressy outfit I have. Or perhaps, I’m simply blinded by their beauty.
Nike knocked this design out of the park as far as I’m concerned. They are pricy, admittedly, but the Lunar Force 1s are sharp, and wicked comfortable. They feel built to last, however keeping them clean, especially while traveling, may be the most difficult aspect overall. I’ve found myself stopping and wiping them clean several times throughout the day.
