Located in Germany, Berlin is a city where architecture, culture and history form an eclectic mix. Do not miss its crazy parties in abandoned industrial buildings and spend a day exploring some of the city's many museums.
How to get there?
The city of Berlin is connected to other nearby cities by a network of autobahns, buses, trains and planes. There are plenty of low cost flights to Berlin available, and the city has three international airports.

Where to stay?
There are many accommodation options in this city. Choose between renting an apartment in the hippest area and staying in one of the youth hostels where there are many opportunities to socialize from travellers from all over the globe. There are many boutique hotels in the city center.

What to do?
Berlin is a city that can be explored over and over again. Its variety of museums, historical landmarks and vanguard activities leave waiting for your next visit to the city.

Rent a bike and explore the city's main monuments. The Reichstag is one of the symbol's of this city. Climb up to the Reichstag's glass dome to enjoy a bird's eye view towards the center of the city. Do not miss the Brandenburg Tor, an old city gate, which is one of the city's main attractions. Another symbol is the Fernsehturm, the city's television tower, which, at 368 meters, is the tallest building in Berlin. The observation deck offers unforgettable views of the city.

After enjoying the view, head to the nearby Alexanderplatz, one of East Berlin's most popular meeting points. There are many other notable squares in the city, including Gendarmenmarkt. The French and German cathedrals are located on one side of the square, and the Concert House is located on the other side. This square is located next to the city's most chic shopping street, Friedrichstrasse. The Potsdamer Platz has been remodeled and is know filled with skyscrapers, restaurants and shops.

Walk along the Unter den Linden, one of the city's most famous streets. The boulevard is lined with famous buildings, including several cathedrals and the German Historical Museum. Another exclusive street is Kurfürstendamm, where some of the city's largest department stores are located.

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, spend an afternoon in the Zoological Garden. This ancient zoo is filled with exotic animals. A short distance away from the city center you will find the Charlottenburg Palace, located in a large park on the banks of the Spree river. There are several museums next to the palace.

Another place you cannot miss during your visit to Berlin is the Museum Island. Here you will find the Altes Museum and the Neues Museum, the ancient Alte Nationalgalerie and the famous Pergamon Museum.

The city's most visited place is the Berlin Wall Memorial, the place where the Berlin Wall used to separate the East from the West. Visit the Documentation Center and Checkpoint Charlie. Some of the wall can still be seen today, filled with colourful graffiti.
