The two months flew by quickly in Venice, Italy, and it will be remembered forever. My time there was full of fond and joyous memories and experiences. I made good friends with majority of my office coworkers, having regular sporting games and various nights out – and I’ll definitely miss them. Danijel, Juliana, Eugenio, Marta, Riccardo, Andrea, and Iolanda became some of my best friends during this time period, and I feel that we had an only too limited amount of time together – but I don’t have regrets. I will likely hold romanticized memories of my time spent there, hanging out with them, and wandering around the City of Bridges.
Some of my more favorite highlights:
- The nights spent at our favorite bar, the Osteria All'Alba near the Rialto Bridge
- The lunches, sat huddled in our group of misfits, along the Great Canal
- The weekends spent island hopping around Venice
- The delicious pizza, of course
- My going away bar-hopping party, as it was some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time
I packed my bags and set off, back into the world, back into the strange wildness of the world...
