The problem for me at the time was my style of travel, because backpacking meant I lived out of the rucksack that I had strapped to my back, and so every ounce and every inch mattered a great deal. Since I was carrying a professional DSLR camera with lenses, a MacBook Pro with external hard drives, clothes, toiletries, and basic survival needs in case of an emergency, my space was being pushed, my organizational skills ebbed and the weight was becoming a massive burden that I couldn’t help but notice in my neck, shoulders and back, day in and day out.
I went with the MGK3080 multi grooming kit, which is a 9-in-one trimmer set that is advertised as offering precision styling from head to toe. What I liked initially was that Braun’s kit came with a variety of pieces that were small and lightweight, while the trimmer itself would add little burden to my pack. Braun’s MGK3080 comes with pieces for beard styling, hair clipping, body grooming, ear and nose trimming, and the ability to work with wet and dry hair, so it definitely fit my requirement of being versatile right away. A few of the pieces were of lesser use to me while on my trip, so I sent them home with some unneeded items that added unwanted space.
