Playa Las Vistas

Santa Cruz Carnival
The island offers other attractions to visit when trekking to one of Europe’s favorite holiday travel destinations. Santa Cruz de Tenerife is an annual carnival held in the capital of the island attracts millions of visitors each year. It is considered to be the second, most popular carnival in the world. Flamboyant outfits, audience interactive parades, and late-night street parties draw in a good crowd.
Dragon Tree
Dragon Tree in Icod de los Vinos is the next travel spot on the map when visiting Tenerife. Legends say that when a dragon dies they become what many know as a dragon tree. This tree of life is one of the main living fossils of the island and perhaps the greatest treasure of Canarian flora. When you look at its peculiar shape it is not surprising that the tree was considered a divine tree by the early inhabitants of the island. There has been much debate over the age of the tree, and some say it may be over 5000 years old. However, recent estimates suggest that the tree is no more than 800 to 1000 years old.
Suggesting that you visit the islands of Tenerife would be an understatement. The islands have a very deep yet vibrant history with many fables and myths to keep any traveler engaged, and eager to learn more! One of the most intriguing tales is the Legend of Atlantis. It claims that Tenerife remains one of the last visible points of the lost city of Atlantis, the rest can never be revealed because they are on the ocean floor, deep below the sea.
