Today’s feature post is for the adventurer, camper and outdoorsman who values a lot of punch in a small form. Whether you’re a backpacker or a fisherman, or hunter, the need to pack well and for all occasions is as important for survival as it is in the craft itself. Either way, if you’re living out of your rucksack, or roaming the wilderness for your next kill, the weight and the volume and the quantity of your gear can seriously burden your experience and can alter your rate of success. Imagine identifying the need to carry a knife, pliers, scissors, a light, can opener, as well as screwdrivers and other tools, on top of all your other gear; see the same problem I’ve run into over my years of travel? Most multi-tool contraptions are either very heavy and difficult to use, especially if you maintain short fingernails, or they’re extremely lightweight and weak, with tools that won’t last or are designed impossibly non-ergonomic and are more of a pain than a strength. It happens; I’ve purchased a few variations over the years and have had to settle prior to working with Coast on their LED155 multi-tool.
