Travel Clothing: Quality denim can last a traveler a lifetime

These days, a majority of products are made cheaply to meet demand and cost all across the world, and with companies designing their products with planned obsolescence in mind, there’s no greater time than the present to search out and discover products that are made well and will last a long time. It’s an awful thing to waste the precious resources of our fragile planet, and planned obsolescence is one of the worst possible ideas thought up by the human race. Not only are most technological products out of date within a few months of being released, they are designed to fail, so you have to keep going out and buying new product. It’s a vicious cycle.

Contemplating the human condition as I experience new life with Newcon Optik

I grew up similar to a city boy, spending most of my time working on art and exploring the internet, rather than experiencing Nature. But as I grow older, the allure of the natural world has been growing ever stronger and now it’s one of the only places that I find true peace and truth as to why we’re here, and it’s helped me figure out what the point of life is, at least for me. It’s a powerful force, the connect we all share with Nature, so why do most of us ignore Mother Nature in our everyday lives? People are obsessed with their phones and their faux digital lives, and work themselves to death without finding a single shred of peace… And lots of people grow up in cities, with the sky clouded grey with smog and the stars hidden behind the veil, so it’s no wonder that our modern race as a majority are lost and have no idea of what the real world, the natural world, is like.

Exploring the Rarity of Quality Modern Tools: A Review of Helko Werk’s Spaltaxt Splitting Axe

If you’re a wilderness traveler, or even an apocalypse eccentric, there are a few items that are a necessity that are sadly, by majority, not very well made these days. But there are a few companies, like Helko Werk, still forging the way for quality tools to continue existing in our cheap material world; but more on that shortly. Either way, if the world ends or if you’re simply trekking out into the shrinking wilderness, far away from civilization, you will need a high quality axe to survive. Imagine if all the world’s electricity goes out forever, it will be mayhem out there, so you’re best best at surviving is to head for the deep forests, away from the breakdown of man and his society. But then the question remains, for most who lack the traditional and ancient knowledge of wilderness living, how do I survive out there?

Reviewing the Luxe Tempo Tent, Sleeping Bag and Sleeping Pad

Luxe Tempo is perhaps a lesser known camping brand, but today I thought it would be nice to feature some of their gear. Because Luxe Tempo is a great company that produces high quality, lightweight gear that’s perfect for backpackers and wilderness explorers, like myself. All of their products are designed to maintain an optimum level of weight and space. A single rucksack can hold all of these items, along with clothing and other small gear, or you can simply strap them to the top or bottom to remain completely hands free. Their Sleeping Pad perhaps weight the most of these three featured items, but even so, by comparison to comparable pads on the market, it seems lighter and smaller when stored than any other of its quality.

Review: Sesto GTX LO All-Terrain Shoe by LOWA

4/26/2017

When it comes to hiking and mountaineering shoes, I prefer an all-terrain shoe that has the capability of keeping my ankles unbroken, while keeping my feet cool and comfortable. This requires a special build of shoe that protects the foot from the outside, but allows for a breathable experience on the inside. The outer fabric must be strong, typically Gore-Tex, and the tread must be thick and dynamically designed to allow for optimum traction. Because if you’ve ever spent hours upon hours trekking through forests, through wetlands and over mountains, then you know what I’m talking about. A shoe is meant to get you safely from point-A to point-B, but the problem that a lot of economy shoes have is that they either don’t properly protect the foot or they aren’t built well enough to withstand the elements. And if you’re without either, at any point, you will encounter some serious problems; from moisture issues to a slew of physical injuries.

No matter how much one might like their job, everyone reaches that point where they would just have a break. It’s important to make the most out of holidays and vacations because they are your one shot of recharging the batteries for another long round of work, not to mention all the other duties that might come up such as taking care of the kids or the house. Now, you might be inclined to wonder about the best vacation destinations available. Truth be told, as long as you’re having fun and relaxing, any destination can be considered the best. But there really is no doubt about the fact that occupying one of the various Fiji private villas available is something you can’t go wrong with. There are many locations available along the numerous islands that comprise the country, such as the Raiwasa Grand Villa.
