Functionality is to be expected but when it comes to the perfect daypack, it’s often that fashion and class are lacking more often than not. And since good looks aren’t always guaranteed when it comes to travel day bags, it can take some looking around, especially if you’re within a constricting budget. My significant searched and found her preferred day bag in the form of Madewell’s stylish Prague Satchel, which is a duffel-style bag that works great for strolls around foreign destinations.

Are you a fan of everything alcoholic? Are you visiting Japan anytime in the near future? If you answered yes to both questions, then we recommend setting some time aside and paying a visit to Hokkaido. Aside from the awesome sights and sounds of Japan's northernmost prefecture, Hokkaido has some of the best destinations for any liquor enthusiast worth their salt.
I’ve recently had the pleasure of testing out one of the finest pieces of luggage on the market, by none other than Victorinox. Every year, the Swiss Army release new lines of knives, watches and travel gear, and from my experience, they’re always at or near the top. Top in design, construction, longevity, security, and overall quality. And I realized that this year is no different when I considered their new Lexicon Hardside collection.
When you’re wandering through a natural place far from civilization, there’s few things that are more important than a solid pair of hiking shoes. In my opinion, that’s just one of those things you don’t skimp on. Never settle for the cheapest ones, because a myriad of things can happen when you’re in the wilderness, and a quality pair of shoes can be the difference between life and death. Imagine becoming lost, and as you come upon a rocky, mountainous terrain as a sudden storm unleashes overhead, and you slip… I’m just saying. Things like that have happened to me, so you have to be prepared as best as you can. Which brings me to two other points to never skimp on: a survival blade and a way to make fire (I prefer carrying a stormproof lighter and a traditional flint and steel kit).
There’s a beauty in the wild world, in the forests untouched, and the further one explores, the deeper the change within. For me, there’s nothing better than the peace and tranquility of being as far away from civilization as possible. To get there, however, it takes some experience, some gear, and some education, because there are so few regions of the world left unspoiled, it often requires a good trek deep into the wilderness to find a place that even the planes can not be heard.
No matter if you’re a digital creative who works abroad on a laptop or tablet, or if you’re simply venturing out on a round-the-world trip yet you wish to stay connected, power tends to crop up as a pretty typical issue for most travelers (same goes for that elusive WiFi). This of course depends on where you’re going and what sort of electronics you work with. As the world of technology ever expands, more and more solutions are available to cure this problem.
