 New York City’s New Year’s Eve bash is one of the world’s largest and most well-known celebrations. For 108 years, New York City’s Time Square has been the centerpiece of the world’s New Year’s celebrations. One of the most famous icons is the ball drop, which is lowered 77 feet at 11:59 PM on December 31st, counting down to the final seconds of the year. On average, Time Square’s celebrations draw over a million people, with another one billion watching annually.
There are many world-known New Year’s Eve celebration hotspots, like Amsterdam, Sydney, Las Vegas, Barcelona, and London, just to name a few. If you surround yourself with friends and maybe have a loved one to kiss at midnight, I don’t think you can go wrong, no matter where you are. I’ve never really gone completely wild on New Year’s Eve, however it’s now on my bucket list to let go, party and experiment with some of what NYC has available for the holiday!  Daily, I am reminded of just how far our world and the richness of culture has fallen. We are surrounded by advertisements that promote inadequacy, where it’s sole purpose is to drive people towards greed and materialism. You can’t turn on the television without some sort of brain-numbing filth consuming you. Humankind as a whole has become domesticated and has lost sight of most of the natural instincts that once defined our race. Things like the drive for discovery and exploration have been lost, as well as the quest for honor and the respect of morals was apparently been thrown out of the window ages ago.

 Christmas is an annual celebration and remembrance of the birth of Jesus Christ. It's a widely observed holiday generally celebrated on December 25th by people all around the world. Some nations celebrate Christmas as a civil holiday, and nearly every culture has their own spin on their own holiday traditions. Most are quite normal and passive, and similar to others throughout the world, but there are a few who celebrate the holidays in more obscure ways, with unusual celebrations, wacky traditions and strange beliefs about those who give gifts.
