Michael and Kevin were gracious hosts, who were infectiously nice, happy and peppy, and are fantastic cooks. They value what makes B&Bs such a draw, the local history and the local food. Their breakfast was wonderful, a strawberry parfait with local berries, local yogurt and homemade granola, which was followed by some of the most scrumptious local buttermilk pancakes with fresh cut apple inside, topped with fresh local Vermont maple syrup and perhaps the best bacon I’ve ever had in my life; and I’ve consumed my more than fair share of bacon, so that’s saying something.
All in all, I have to say that my stay at the Ira Allen House was beautiful, comfortable, positive and memorable. A fantastic way to kick off my honeymoon, I must say! Learn more about the history of the Ira Allen House, and for booking information, visit: http://iraallenhouse.com
