CBD Feature & Review: The CBDistillery’s 2500mg CBD Tincture

A hotly contested subject over the past decades has been whether or not cannabis or marijuana is a source of healing or a harmful drug. But thankfully, with the advent of the internet, the truth has come out, and now no more can propaganda campaigns shun this amazingly therapeutic plant. Not only is the hemp or male plant useful in all sorts of industrial uses like making paper or replacing gasoline, there are compounds within hemp that can offer healing* and therapeutic effects. While there are two compounds that are most well-known, CBD (the non-psychotropic cannabinoid found in hemp) and THC (the psychoactive cannabinoid found in female flowers that does get you high), CBD is the one that has shown the most promise. Which is also now legal in all 50 states.

While all health claims are based purely on personal experience, most people who try CBD find that it may help with calmness, anxiety, sleep and appetite. CBD is the non-psychotropic cannabinoid found in hemp, the male non-flowering part of the plant, which has been found to have inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, as well as sedating, hypnotic, anti-epileptic and anti-dystonic effects, among other healing attributes. CBD does not ‘get you high,’ as they say, but it will relax you, soothe pain, help regulate sleep patterns, control certain cancers, stimulates bone growth, and stops the growth of bacteria, as well as it suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions, slows inflammation, reduces blood sugar levels, reduces the risk of artery obstructions, decreases pressure in the blood vessel walls, helps control epileptic seizures, reduces risk of nerve damage, and eases nausea.

I recently reached out to The CBDistillery, who specialize in a CBD tinctures, isolates, topical creams, vape pens, wax and more, and they sent over their 2500mg tincture and a vile of their CBD isolate. Tinctures are regularly used for ingesting the CBD, typically by putting drops on or under the tongue for the quickest results, and isolates are refined concentrates which can be cooked or made into topical salves. Most CBD tinctures that I’ve tried have a very distinct, earthy, grassy taste that I honestly don’t prefer very much, because it makes me cringe overtime I try it, but CBDistillery’s CBD oil is the smoothest I’ve found. Not only is it silky feeling, it tastes lightly like a grassy sort of oregano, which I much prefer.

The 2500mg size is perfect for beginners (who will do best by starting out with a drop or two at a time), as well as heavy users (who typically need the CBD to assist with a health condition), because each drop from the dropper averages about 4mg of hemp cannabinoid extract. For starters, I started with a drop and worked my way up to between 25-40mg a day, depending how I felt.

For me, personally, I found the CBD oil to be most effective at keeping my anxiety at bay, my stress level down and a general well-being and calmness present that I so badly needed. When I have insomnia problems, I tend to take an additional dose to help sooth my nerves and my reeling mind. All in all, I found CBDistillery’s tincture to be top quality, very effective and much more agreeable to others I’ve tried. The isolate is a very cool way to incorporate CBD into your daily diet and body care products. I made a CBD salve with the isolate which has helped a lot of family members and friends with their aches, pains, bruises, and structural issues and miscues.
