I turned and grabbed my pack. After fumbling with the zipper, I brought out my Newcon Optik binoculars and scanned the canopy overhead. Within seconds, I found that white bald head and orange beak bobbing up and down as she fed her young. I watched as baby eagles ate from their mother’s mouth. She moved from one to the next, and as each baby ate, the others would cry for more. I fiddled with the 7X magnification and it was as if I was there, right next to them and my heart flushed with something like awe and appreciation intertwining like a warmth in my heart, belly and face, and I knew I was experiencing something unique and wonderful.

There’s just something special about watching an eagle care for her young. I’m thankful for the experience I had, and hope others may experience something as wonderful. The closer the binoculars took me in, the better I could make out the individual markings and feathers of each eagle, and with that, I feel as though I gained some insight, or perhaps a simple connection to the birds. I’m glad I had my Newcon Optik binos, because they allowed me the capability to stay where I was and yet see so much.
Newcon Optik is a fine optics company, specializing in military grade optical gear, from binoculars to night vision, and have recently teamed up with me to test out and write about their AN 7x50MC binoculars. Incorporated with BAK-4 Porro prisms and multi-coated lenses, these binoculars deliver an impressive light transmission and resolution, which aided me in my experience, because the view was extremely clear and the focus sharp. The AN 7x50MCs were designed with a non-slip UV-resistent rubber that both armors the unit and provides comfort for the user in all weather and conditions. So if you’re on a rugged expedition into the deep wilderness, they will function at a high level, while providing optimum comfort, even in cold weather.
I found the Newcon Optik AN 7x50MC binoculars to be very high quality made, with fantastic lens quality, clearness and focus. They are waterproof and shockproof, and are loaded with features like a military reticle and an illuminated compass. These binoculars aren’t the lightest and smallest model I’ve ever seen, but they are powerful for their size. I like the ergonomic design and feeling of the rubber, and of course, the most important aspect is how well they work visually. Hopefully from my story above, you can see how well I approve. Newcon Optik is a fine maker of binoculars that can work well for nearly any range and reason; from bird watching to military operations.
