Australia has long been a magnet for artists and writers thank to its many natural beauty spots, beaches and landscapes. Some would say it’s the most beautiful place on earth. One thing’s for sure, the diverse locations are guaranteed to get the creative juices of any artist or writer flowing.
Here’s how to stir that imagination!

Visit the natural beauty spots
If you’re one of the millions of international visitors taking flights to Sydney this year, make sure you take some time out to explore New South Wales. This region offers plenty of inspirational sights, including almost 900 national parks, featuring sub-tropical rainforests, white sand beaches and glorious waterfalls. One of the most beautiful beaches, Hyams Beach, can be found at Jervis Bay National Park. This is the ideal place if you’re looking for a spot on a coastline full of secluded beaches.

Find inspiration in the city
New cities are often one of the best places to find inspiration and the vibrant Sydney is no exception. Sydney floods you with inspiration from the moment you arrive and has one of the world’s most iconic harbors. There’s also the famous Bondi Beach. If you love the outdoors and hot weather then you can enjoy two seasons generally consisting of warm and hot with around 340 sunny days per year. Sydney has its own artistic community and boasts festivals celebrating performing arts, literature, music and art throughout the year.

Head to the outback
Australia’s legendary outback isn’t for everyone, since its sense of isolation and sheer beauty can be overwhelming for some. The name ‘outback’ generally refers to the more remote areas of Australia, including beauty spots such as the Nitmiluk Gorge, which features a maze of waterways that are ideal for canoeing. The Northern Territory is also home to the legendary Uluru otherwise known as Ayers Rock, the immense rock contain ancient paintings dating back at least 5,000 years. Wallaman Falls in Girringun National Park is enough to take your breath away and, when night falls, looks even better.

If you’re planning an extended visit to Australia, you’ll have no trouble stoking those creative fires. Driving along the Great Ocean Road and diving at the Great Barrier Reef will provide unforgettable and inspirational memories.
