Friday's Fine Art Feature – London, England

In October of 2013, I found myself in London, England for a few days, before my flight to Reykjavík, Iceland. I had just spent a couple of months in Ireland and a few weeks roaming around Scotland and the amazing Isle of Skye, before funneling down through a few of England's cities, until I reached 'The Big Smoke.' The first time I visited London, I wasn't much of a fan of it, to be honest, but the second time around left me feeling quite a bit more fond of the city. I stayed near the Victoria station, in a nice apartment, so the area and my accommodations were definitely satisfying, and I didn't fear for my life as I did the last time I visited, and ease of travel was unparalleled – seeing as how I was so close tot he train, bus, and metro station. One of the most interesting experienced I had this time around in London was when I jumped on a private helicopter tour, which took me above the city, and along the Thames River. It was an interesting day, full of random showers and varied gusts of wind, so the ride wasn't seamless, but it was an absolute treat – and so that is how I took this photograph.
