Holiday Feature: Give the Gift of a Classy Stash & CBD by Hakuna Supply

It’s easy to buy trinkets, toys and plastic crap that’ll end up in a landfill in a month or two, but for this Christmas, why not think deeper about what you’re giving your loved ones. Because life is so damn short, that what you do in every moment matters, and while sometimes it doesn’t feel like it may matter that much until the moment has slipped away, this is your time to play a big part in your family’s lives, so why half-ass it?
Picture
This year, consider each family member and friend who you wish to give a gift, and see if you can dig a little deeper into who they are, what they need, want and how they feel. With a little more consideration, you can come up with something that will not only light their face up like a lighted tree, but you will have had a special impact on their lives. Struggling for ideas? Not sure what I’m even talking about? Well, let me explain…

Every year, big business and strategic marketing companies focus all of their efforts, resources and brain power on making you, the consumer, feel as though you need to spend a great deal to show your love. If you don’t buy this for that person, then you will feel like a failure, or they will feel like you don’t love them. I’m here to tell you that that’s bullocks and it’s untrue, and you should never let the wrong reasons dictate your life, no matter if it’s as small as choosing a present to be used as one of many stocking stuffers. If you can’t afford to give a million gifts, then give what you’ve got, yourself, your love, your time, your smile, your humor… Because those are the things that matter most, and they’re the treasures shared between two or more that end up turning into memories, even if in the moment you don’t see it.

Think of it this way… Do you see your loved one spinning their tires? Are they bored of life, or lonely, or depressed? Are they unhappy in their current situation? Have you shared in enough memories with them? If you notice any specific answers to those questions, and others, then do something more this holiday season. Instead of useful junk under the tree, plan a trip and be sure to book an extra seat, because the trip will only mean the most it can if you join your loved one. If you can’t afford to pay for an entire trip, then plan a day trip, or find something that will do more for them than to provide a momentary break from reality. The key is that new experiences create memories when shared between two or more. So this year, I implore you to choose happy, to choose to laugh, hug, kiss, and play, because life is too damn short.

If you still want to see that smile on their face, then search out something that fits their interests, passions, and personality. In the modern landscape, especially for millennials, there are certain crazes that are gaining serious traction all over the country, like that of natural healing with CBD, and the recreational smoking movement. So, if your loved one finds interest in this movement, why not choose to embrace them rather than condemning them? For my hard to buy for friends, I looked to Hakuna Supply to provide something meaningful that will last for years to come.

Hakuna Supply specializes in creating fine wood stash boxes, jars, grinders, and CBD products like CBD infused gummies, coffee and tea. Many of their kits come with rolling trays, jars, grinders, and other smoking accessories, but you can choose what how you wish to personalize your kit, and some engraving options are available too. I recently had the opportunity to check out one of their stash boxes, which came with their Awaken Blend of CBD coffee, their Mango CBD gummies, and a variety of their CBD infused teas (Chamomile, Mint, Matcha, Ginger & Turmeric). The Matcha tea is pretty amazing tasting, as is the Mint, and I felt quite relaxed afterwards.

CBD is the non-psychotropic cannabinoid found in hemp, the male non-flowering part of the plant, which has been found to have inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, as well as sedating, hypnotic, anti-epileptic and anti-dystonic effects, among other healing attributes. CBD does not ‘get you high,’ as they say, but it will relax you, soothe pain, help regulate sleep patterns, control certain cancers, stimulates bone growth, and stops the growth of bacteria, as well as it suppresses muscle spasms and convulsions, slows inflammation, reduces blood sugar levels, reduces the risk of artery obstructions, decreases pressure in the blood vessel walls, helps control epileptic seizures, reduces risk of nerve damage, and eases nausea.

Overall, I found the workmanship of Hakuna Supply’s stash box to be stunningly beautiful with every detail done right, with every edge clean and the engraved design as crisp as can be. Their grinders are top notch and beautiful looking, as are their jars. Hakuna’s CBD products are healing and fun, and only include federally legal hemp extracts, which do not have any psychoactive effect, yet could have a positive medicinal effect when used under the correct circumstances and in the right dosage. This season, give something that will last, and if you can’t afford something major, give something that will last.
