One evening, I found myself back near by accommodation 40-minutes from the park at a local gem known as the Birdsview Diner. Birdsview Diner is a cool spot with a happening outdoor presence, where top quality unique burgers are served by a lovely staff of kind ladies. The owner Heidi is a kind, fun-loving visionary who has transformed this local dining hotspot, from a failing diner with an overgrown lot, to now what it is today, a thriving creative burger joint with an awesome outdoor entertainment area with picnic tables, a live event stage, and loads of games for the whole family set underneath a woodland area beneath huge pines. Birdsview Diner can be found at 39974 State Rte 20, Concrete, WA 98237.
The burger was meaty and juicy, the bacon thick and smokey, and flavorful, and the mac and cheese brought it together into a crispy, cheesy paradise of flavors. The fries were perfectly cooked, crispy outside and soft inside, with just the right amount of salt. Fries are a forgotten art these days it seems at times, and the Birdsview chefs have it down. All in all, I was very impressed with the atmosphere, the crew, and of course the dining experience was top notch for an affordable roadside meal in a stunning place.
