There's not a single day that goes by that I don't have an audio book running through my head. About a decade ago, I came to the realization that by listening to music non-stop, I'm in fact wasting a good amount of time I could spend learning anything in the world I wanted. So, while I still amp up my speaker system daily to boost my mood, and to keep me grounded, I spend a whole lot more time with information flowing into my ears, ultimately spinning the wheels in my head. Why audio books? Well, why don't you let me explain...

There's something magical about books, about entertaining ideas and situations that may not be real, but can absolutely feel real. And that's where the magic lies, within the authors ability to weave imagery, meaning, anecdote and story through language. In today's modern hustle and bustle, it's nearly impossible to do a 40-hour work week and still have time to dedicate toward consistent reading of any great quantity, but with audio books, you can fill your moments with imagination and learning.

I've always hated the tedious things in life as I'm much more keen on moments that inspire thought and creativity, as well as spark the fire inside my mind that ultimately guides me on my path toward deeper truth and understanding. With too much time spent in the tedious, the more it feels like my soul is dying inside. But with the introduction of audio books into my daily diet, I've seen a marked change in my mind's abilities, in my understanding, in my creativity, and in my overall understanding and perception of reality and the world around us. Where when I was growing up I had felt lost and uncertain about everything, I know have a firm foundation of understanding and without being literary, that would not have been possible. Gaining the ability to read coherently and to think deeply isn't something that happens over night, but books are the right way to begin.

I've recently been working with AudioBooks.com's phone app and have downloaded a few books that have inspired my recent journey into natural medicine and writing, and that's a testament to the variety of literature available on their network. The AudioBooks app provides thousands of possibilities, from every scholarly subject to any sort of set, setting and story, and it's all within reach and only takes seconds to download straight to your phone.

All in all, I found AudioBooks.com to be a great resource for fiction, non-fiction, and educational materials. While they may not have as many choices as some other online audiobook services, they make it easy and keep it affordable to grow and learn everyday. And for that feature, I am grateful. The world needs more people to strive for knowledge and understanding, because without intellectualism, we will continue to have a blind, ego-led population who is easily manipulated and controlled. But with the fire of desire to learn comes freedom and understanding and a better tomorrow.
