I’ve learned, now seemingly the hard way, that what protects the device is as important as the device itself. Sure, they don’t cost as much, and yeah, there’s a million choices of varying options, but it is the details that matter for optimum protection. Avoid the flimsy, rubbery cases. Avoid the ones that are flush to the screen, providing no bumper. Avoid the gaudy and live simply.
The Naked Tough are considered the optimum minimalist case, offering the user a slim profile, with military grade drop protection. The material is strong and feels nice, and smooth, and the case cups the phone tightly, while bumpers give it a nice shock layer inside. It’s clear and simple, with a handy UV yellowing resistance, too. The metallic silver buttons work well, providing a clean, uniform look. As a fun add-on, Case-Mate makes a stick-on smart pocket that hugs money and credit cards to the back of your case, too. For travel security, I might not suggest employing such a thing, but if you’re looking for a case good for the everyday/home use, then this simple add-on can save the trouble of carrying a wallet everywhere.
