Review: HIFIMAN Edition S Headphones

My friends over at HIFIMAN sent me a pair of their Edition S headphones, and I'm diggin' them. More and more headphone companies are making higher quality headphones that are lighter, sporty/flashy, yet are built for travelers. Some companies focus more on the shape and build, how they fold up and their material weight, and others focus on longterm quality and longevity. Today, I'll be taking an indepth look at the Edition S by HIFIMAN.

The dynamic on-ear headphones by HIFIMAN, the Edition S offers a dynamic sounding as it is strategically built to be lightweight, versatile, and easy to travel with. The Edition S's fold up into its own personal casing that fits snug – it comes with a soft shell made with materials that add structural support. The most unique part of the headphone is the open and closed back conversion ear caps, which provides the ability for the user to close themselves off from the loud, bustling world around him/her, or if you wish to remove the caps, the sound quality flows bigger and brighter in situations where outside ambient noise may interfere with your listening ability.

When I'm working on a narrative story or on my novel, I tend to prefer to write in a darkspace with little-to-none outside noise, and these headphones offer that inner-santuctury for my private working space.

Overall, I'm a big fan of the HIFIMAN Edition S headphones. They are designed for sleekness, size and folding, making them perfect for traveling. The open/closed ear capability is unique, allowing the user to close themselves off from the world, no matter the location or the sound chaos of almost any travel spot.
