For me, I tend to lean toward those big, fat phone cases that give 360-degree safety, as well as total waterproof protection, but that’s typically for when I travel, camp, explore the wilderness or partake in some sort of water-based/dangerous sport. However, when I’m home, I snap off the bulky life-vest and install something with a little more class, style, and ergonomic design. I like cases that look sharp, and sometimes loud, but in the end I like to keep it classy. When I first invested in an iPhone some years back, I found a small European manufacturer who made all-wood cases that fit the phone like a glove. The drawback was that it was very expensive, and it provided only partial protection since it had no padded bumpers and the wood was much too exotic and thin to last more than a few months, even with careful attention paid to its survival. It was like walking on eggshells, because I worried about the longevity of the phone, but also that damn case.

The Vesel case is very light, with milled, high-precision hardware components that complete the package tastefully. The wood finishes are hand selected and machined to provide a smooth, clean look with seamless joints and buttons that click without issue. As advertised, the VESELcase does not cause issue with signal loss and is extremely durable, which is amazing considering how thin and light it is. This case does not wrap around the back or provide thick, bulky bumpers that make screen use problematic, as they wrap around the edges of the phone. The packaging is sharp and continues its classy stylings, while providing a screwdriver, cleaning cloth and additional screws, just in case. All in all, I really like this case, and while I might not take it on every trip abroad, it is my goto when style matters just as much as protection.
