Recently, the fine folks over at NewAir asked me to check out their new Magic Chef 1.6 Quart Digital Air Fryer, and so here we go! The Magic Chef is simple and low cost, and works as advertised. Upon initial inspection, I was surprised to see a difference in the one my family used compared to this new Magic Chef version, due to the Magic Chef’s non-stick basket. The previous model I had seen looked more like a miniature oven, but this new design looks more like a sleek modern coffee maker, as it’s all enclosed and for added safety, the tray slips into the device stopping the possibility of burning ones self.
The Magic Chef uses rapid air technology to cook and make food crisp and hot, and delicious, without the use of oil, which immediately improves the health quality of your food. The difference between the previous model I mentioned and this new model is that this model is designed to handle snack sized foods rather than meals for an entire party of hungry football fanatics. The design is sleek and black, and it’s easy to use with an intuitive one-dial control timer. All in all, I like this little air fryer, and have found it to be very useful for quick meals that are easily elevated in quality of cook over a traditional microwave. Now, when I’m short on time, I can pop in some pizza rolls and within minutes I’m running out the door with some tasty, crispy snacks. It’s a life saver for someone as busy as me.
