Fast forward to today and all those worries and inconveniences have washed away, thanks to companies like Renogy who continue to push the limits of innovation. I reached out to Renogy to test and feature one of their many portable power solutions. Renogy specializes in mobile power, solar panels, chargers and other electronic awesomeness. Renege was kind enough to send out their PHOENIX 100 Mini Power Station and their E.FLEX 21 Portable Solar Panel, which is all you need to be powered anywhere the sun shines.
The Phoenix 100 is as beastly as it is cute. It’s jam-packed with 21700mAh lithium-ion batteries, which means you can charge your iPhone 11 times before you have to start thinking about refueling this bad boy. It’s small, it’s well built and it’s a beautiful saving grace for backpackers and travelers everywhere. This Mini Power Station is very compact and overpowered for its size, but versatile in how it provides three outlet options: USB-A, USB-C and AC. AC is the one that surprised me, because with this little power bank, I can power anything that plugs into a traditional wall outlet, from my laptop to my a television, and beyond. The possibilities are infinite.

Renogy’s E.FLEX 21 Portable Solar Panel is a brilliant accessory for the Phoenix 100 Power Station, mainly due to its ability to efficiency recharge it while also remaining a convenient size. The E.FLEX 21 is a trifold panel that transforms sunlight into usable electric current. It has an energy conversion efficiency of 22-25%. I love this little solar panel, because it’s sleek and efficient in its functioning as well as its design. What’s more is that Renogy designed this solar panel to directly charge your devices with a live stream current, via two USB ports. It’s water resistent and made with rugged nylon that helps you stay powered even in unpredictable weather conditions. The E.FLEX 21 Solar Panel weighs 1.2 lbs and measures in at 18.74”x11.4” unfolded and a mere 11.4”x6.22” when folded.
