The Spate EH INS Boot is a dynamic industrial boot that may be the perfect option for travelers who rough it and explore the wilderness. Not only because they’re made surprisingly well, but due to the wide range of features that Dr. Martens has designed and included in the shoe. Dr. Martens are one of those famous brands that are better known for their fashionable shoes, especially when it comes to their boots with the more youthful markets of the world. And what they’re lesser known for are their industrial line of boots; at least in the fashion circles. But there’s no reason for that, because they make a fantastic hardcore boot with all of the safety features one could dream up and desire. Read further as I’ll cover these features more in-depth.

Picking the right, and best boot for wilderness travel, hiking and camping, can make all the difference in how you feel at the end of the day, as well as how well you move over the variety of terrains that Nature will put before you, depending on where you go. It’s not uncommon to visit a wide expanse of untouched wilderness and have to trek through woods and moors, and over water streams, rivers and mountains. And from my experience, not all fits and boot styles can handle all of those terrains without faltering somehow, somewhere.

It may be as simple as a shoe causing you leg and back pain, or worse; so it’s important to check out all of your options. While an industrial shoe can be difficult to maneuver over mountain and rock, I believe the right industrial boot can however guard against water, sprained ankles, and heavy wear. But the right boot for the right person can do it all.

Dr. Martens’ Spate Safety Toe Insulated Boot is a dynamic boot, built for heavy use in all sorts of conditions. The leather shell surrounding the 800 gram Thinsulate insulation is treated well, and rated as waterproof, while the inside provides a breathable cushioned environment perfect for hard work and long treks. They are equipped with a heavy duty safety toe, and baring some major rockslide, I don’t think anything is affecting your toes in these bad boys. One of the best travel-benefiting features is the thick, slip resistent tread on the bottom of the boots. They are also rated as oil resistent, heat resistent and non-marking.

I found the Spate EH INS Boot to be a great, high quality boot, with all the features to make for a long lasting travel boot, perfect for just about any trip into the wilderness, because it will adequately protect your feet in a multitude of situations, while giving you the tread you need, the steel toe required to prevent injury and the finishing features that allow it to be such a dynamic boot (meaning: waterproof, oil resistent, heat resistent, and breathable).

Great looking boots. Do they hurt your feet after long hikes?
