Taking A Look At Vaping: featuring Pulsar

Over the past few years, anything vaping has been among the biggest of crazes. There’s a few different kinds, like vaping flavored liquid that has no nicotine and is therefore supposed to be non-addictive, and then there’s the tobacco smoker’s replacement option where flavored e-liquid has various levels of nicotine included, as well as the option where e-liquid is infused with CBD oil, which is the non-psychoactive compound found in hemp, which has shown to have sedative and anti-inflammatory properties among a myriad of other health benefits.

And then there’s vaporizing cannabis. This can only be legally done in states where cannabis or medical marijuana has been legalized, of course, but even in states where only e-juice vaporizing is legal, the market has become flooded with personal devices and larger vaporizers. There are some that are so discreet that it looks like you’re sucking on a pen, and then there are desktop models that can serve a half dozen people while also filling large plastic bags full of vapor. It’s all pretty wild, and it can be difficult to figure out which one will be best for your needs.

I’ve always gravitated to the discreet personal device approach, as they are more affordable, as well as smaller, easier to clean and use away from the confines of the home. The Pax has been the big name in this market, but there are new and exciting companies popping up all of the time, like Pulsar, a company that focuses on personal device vaporizers, water pipes and other connoisseur products that can be used for CBD-heavy hemp, cannabis flowers and tobacco. They recently sent over their FLOW vaporizer for me to trial and review, and though, while I don’t have cannabis available in my state, I was able to test with tobacco.

The Pulsar FLOW is a surprisingly minimalist vaporizer that is small, sleek and simple. This device is developed to have a speedy heat time in around 40-seconds, with temperature ranges of 356-428°F, which makes it versatile in that it can be dialed in depending on what you’re vaping. It measures at 5” and is for dry herbs, and it has a Quartz-lined chamber for quick heat up and sustained use once hot, and is simply built well overall. It loads and reloads with ease, vaporizes smart without a burnt taste, and moves smoothly through the the device from the oven through the ceramic and easy to clean airpath and into the mouth. The taste is smooth and delightful, and the overall aesthetic is wonderful, while the operations and cleaning of this device is pretty solid.

They also sent over their Green Propeller Perc Water Pipe, which is as dynamic of a pipe that I’ve seen at the size that it sits, at 7.25”. This water pipe is made with scientific glass and the quality shows and is felt within a split second with its first impression blowing me out of the water. This water pipe has a spinning propeller perc and an eye-catching bent neck mouthpiece that screams class and quality. If you would like to learn more about Pulsar, click here.
