With a New Movement Comes Fun Toys: The Lift Vaporizer by FLYT LAB

For decades, misinformation campaigns had the masses believing that cannabis was indeed a harmful, dangerous and life-ruining drug. But with the advent of the internet, times are changing and governmental propaganda campaigns are no longer able to gain traction in the minds of the many. And as people wake up all across the country to the truth about cannabis, full on legalization and steps headed in that direction are beginning to take shape in a multitude of states. With new minds comes new policies, and with legalization comes the ability to test and research… And with that change welcomes new and exciting innovations, inventions and approaches to use, which includes medicinal healing and recreational toys.

Personally, I’m excited to see the change happening with my generation, because we are capable of seeing the truth, believing we can make a difference and are applying ourselves to being the change the world needs to see. And while many may still not see how cannabis plays into this positive change, the science clearly states its claim to the truth, which is that cannabis can and does heal. There are two popular compounds found in cannabis, that of THC (the one people smoke to feel a ‘high’ or to feel ‘stoned’) and that of CBD (the compound that heals, soothes, and does not have a psychotropic effect), and in legal states you can choose from either approach of the plant. But in all 50 states, CBD is now legal, which is perhaps the most important part of the plant, because it’s so versatile in its therapeutic power.

When I lived in Colorado, the flowers with THC in them were all the rage, and CBD was still becoming a better known commodity. Once the word spread, CBD was everywhere, from tinctures to extracts, to bubbly drinks with amazing healing power and even candies. With the chance to cut through the political BS, research took control and lives began to change because of it. With new research, people were able to find new and fun ways to partake, be it recreationally or medicinally, and one of those fun inventions was the new vaporizer movement. In Colorado, vaporizers are exceedingly popular and can be purchased just about anywhere, because they’re sleek, small, versatile and discreet, and potentially offer a safer alternative to traditional smoking.

One of the new takes at the dry herb vaporizer is the Lift vape by FLYT LAB, which is a compact, yet very powerful herbal device that transforms the compound from flowers into useable vapor, without all the health risks associated to breathing in smoke. The Lift is a dynamic vaporizer that is ultra discreet, small and is outfitted with a smart heat system and ceramic oven. To refill her, all you have to do is push on the magnetic flip-lip lid which opens the reservoir (which holds 0.7 grams), and then all you have to do is to lightly pack your herbs inside (can be used for tobacco, too), close the lid and turn her on.

The Lift vaporizer is built really well, really compact and is designed optimally for the vaporhead on the go. With a super efficient, three-temperature heating chamber, the Lift makes best use of your precious herbs without waste. The body of the Lift is made of light weight aluminum alloy, while the lip piece is a retractable glass piece that feels good while staying cool. Operation is as simple as can be, with one button that allows you to turn on and off the device, adjust the temperature (between three settings… High: 415-425, Medium: 395-405, and Low: 365-375) and check the battery life. When heating up, it only takes between 25-38 seconds until the oven is ready for vaporizing. Considering safety features, the folks over at the FLYT LAB thought of everything and crammed it into a lovely little package, including an automatic shutoff feature if the device has been left unused for more than 30 seconds after heat up. Another big feature compared to competitor brands is that of the battery efficiency, because on a full charge, the Lift can be used for anywhere from 13-20 bowls (depending on the temperature setting), while charging in about two hours via mini USB.

I’ve tried a good amount of vaporizers, especially when I lived in Colorado, and I found that the Lift was among the best of the best as far as small, portable devices go. I found little constructive criticism, as the Lift is well built, very well thought out, built to last, and works as advertised. Besides its ability to be discreet and to work simply with ease, I found that the flavor profile brought out by the vaporizer as being the most important feature. Some vaporizers burn too hot and give off an unsavory burnt taste, while others are made of cheap materials that taint the flavor, but if you’re consuming high quality flowers, it’s important to think about taste, because one of the best flavors in the world is fresh cannabis through a vaporizer. All in all, I found that the Lift by FLYT LAB is a pretty great vaporizer, especially for the price.
